Using Chessplain

Chessplain provides chess analysis and coaching-style explanations for educational use. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate.

You must not misuse the service, interfere with normal operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use Chessplain in a way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Accounts and subscriptions

Some features require an account, and paid features require an active subscription. Subscription billing is handled through our payment processor, and access may change if a payment fails, a subscription is canceled, or a refund is issued.

You can manage active billing from the customer portal made available inside Settings. Pricing, billing intervals, and feature availability may be updated over time, but changes will not retroactively alter a billing period that has already begun.

Content, availability, and limits

You retain ownership of the games and PGN content you submit. By using the service, you grant Chessplain the limited rights needed to process that content in order to provide analysis, store saved reviews, and operate the product.

Chessplain may impose usage limits, plan restrictions, maintenance windows, or other operational controls to keep the service stable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that every generated explanation will be error-free.

Termination and liability

You may stop using Chessplain at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, or respond to misuse.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chessplain is provided on an as-available basis and is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
