Refund Policy
This policy explains how Chessplain approaches refunds for subscriptions and how billing issues should be handled.
General approach
Subscription purchases are generally billed in advance for the selected period. Because Premium access is enabled immediately, charges are normally non-refundable once a billing period has started, except where required by law.
If you believe you were charged in error, renewed unexpectedly, or encountered a billing issue, contact support promptly so the payment can be reviewed.
Cancellation timing
Canceling a subscription stops future renewal but does not typically generate a refund for the current billing period. Access usually remains active until the end of the paid term.
To avoid future charges, use the billing portal in Settings before the next renewal date.
Special cases
Refund requests may be considered for duplicate payments, verified technical billing errors, or other exceptional circumstances evaluated in good faith.
Any approved refund is processed through the original payment method and timeline supported by the payment provider.
